Cathy is an experienced healthcare financial professional who has handled a wide range of healthcare financial consulting engagements. She began her healthcare career in 1984 at Johns Hopkins Hospital working in financial analysis, budgeting and financial reporting. Cathy also spent six years with the University of Maryland’s physician faculty practice plan directing the financial operations of the managed care department.

She then ran her own consulting firm for thirteen years, specializing in managed care contracting and revenue enhancement. She joined Kohler HealthCare Consulting, Inc. in 2010 where she conducted operational assessments, developed a physician central billing office and reengineered the workflow, including EMR templates for a hospital owned physician enterprise. She also worked at LifeBridge Health as the Director of Community Physician Enterprise. While at LifeBridge she directed the strategic and operational initiatives for fourteen practices.

She returned to consulting and formed Lighthouse Healthcare Advisors LLC in 2013. She is a graduate of University of Baltimore and a certified public accountant since 1986. She has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1987 and is a Past President of the Maryland Chapter and has served as Regional Executive for Region 4.  She is a Fellow with the Healthcare Financial Management Association, CPA, and a certified professional coder and has obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt in Healthcare Certificate of Achievement from Villanova University.

While not at work, Cathy enjoys spending time with her family and her two labs, the beach, golf, and hiking.
